egr valve needed deleted after egr delete?

Default egr valve needed deleted after egr delete?

i had my egr cooler welded shut from a guy here in town. but i never deleted the valve itself. is this needed along with doing what i did? if so do you know where i can get the cap to delete this

You may see a CEL (check engine light) or code with the EGR valve un-plugged. Leaving it in place will pass visual inspections (as needed) and will not harm air flow. Now if you get a tuner that limits EGR operation you would be able to do what you want with the valve.

Also on some of the later trucks the fan won't engage without the EGR valve plugged in, it is perfectly fine just leaving it there because it really doesn't do anything once you are welded up.
