they make a fitting that scres right into the ICP port then you have to make up a pigtail so you can put 12vlts to the IPR valve during the test.

...wont run right after doing a hpop...they may have diagnosed it wrong the first time or somebody wasn't carefull and got dirt into the ipr...have seen it done before when replacing hpop

Hi Guys, sorry it took so long to get back. was out of town for a while.
Took valve covers off to check dummy plugs and standpipes. They look almost new, so that's not it. On a more troubling note, found one of those pesky roller bearings in oil pan while draining oil. No 7 cylinder has lots of play in exhaust valve rocker, so Lifter is shot. Am hoping that we caught this early since I found only one bearing. Can you replace lifters without taking engine out? Can put ARP studs in it too then.

Unfortunately the head has to come off to replace the lifter, check the cam good where that lifter is too, those roller bearings kill oil pumps too, could be the whole issue.

Yeah, I know. You think I can get the heads off with the engine in the truck and replace the lifters? Or do I have to remove the engine to do that. I might as well replace all of the lifters while i am in there. I hope it did not do too much damage since I found only one of those pins.
