Default 2003 6.0 L - No Start

2003 F350 6.0 L won't start. It's been plugged in for hours and turns over very well. But it won't fire up.

Three months ago it stalled in the city stopped at a red light. I had it towed to mechanic shop and when he tried to start it, it fired up. He sent it home because he could not diagnose a problem.

I use it to push snow and we have a significant snow dump upon us. My mechanic is in St. Lucia on vacation for the next week.

I have not started it for a couple weeks. When I tried early this morning, it cranked out and fired up for a couple seconds then quit. Again I tried and the same thing happened. I tried a third, fourth, fifth etc and now it will crank but not fire.

I do not have means to check the codes. I have never used ether or any other starting fluid.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like an HPOP issue (high pressure oil pump). That gizmo takes oil from the low pressure oil pump and significantly increases the pressure to fire the injectors. Low pressure fom HPOP means inj. dont fire, equals no start.

The 6.0 can be quite problematic. But, this one of the issues that would cause a no-start problem.
