Default Need help with sluggish and a slight miss.

I have a 2004 f250 6.0 has EGR delete and oil cooler replaced maybe 6,000miles ago. I have always thought that my truck was louder than most other 6.0 as far as engine noise. lately i have noticed a slight miss at idle, as well as the engine has dies a couple times when i would let off the gas to turn or what not, but has always started right back up like nothing had happen. The truck is also very sluggish once it goes into overdrive, and seems like it is a little down on power i do have a sct with custom tunes from innovative, but i have returned it to stock since i have noticed the problems, i am also running rotella t5 10w30. thanks for any help .

Check fuel pressure at bowl too. I had misfire, hooked up snap on scan tool and had two injectors misfiring. Kept searching, Turns out my airdog pump went bad! . . New warranty one going in today!

Yes i did text the FICM and its good. I replaced it maybe ayear ago with one from Mike, I have not checked the fuel pressure yet. I did put it on the Snap-on soulus pro, and did not find any misfires and passed all test, i did buzz test but i have read that the best time to run that test is on first start up on cold motor. Going from the 15w40 to the T5 10W30 should not have any affect on it should it? how bout the icp sensor? when i had it on the scanner the icp desired and the actual all looked good, i did not run it down the road while hooked up to see what happens.

Did you check memory codes? That's where I found misfire codes on 6,7,8 cyl . . Due to lack of fuel . . Got new airdog installed today. . Fuel mileage back up to 15.4 from 13.8 with stocker on lie o meter and much smoother. . . Please keep us informed of your particular outcome!

Yes i did check for memory codes, all it had was one for the FICM because its not the original one in it. Was the air filter causing yours not to get enough fuel? I ordered some Archoil AR9100 tonight going to see if maybe its an injector

airdog was seized. died while idling with modis connected doing diagnostics. popped Fuel filter on engine and was empty. i hooked stock pump back up since i bypassed it before it totally died and got mobile till ad replacement. I use hot shot secret and rev x with Rotella 5-40 synthetic oil . . For years . . Almost 200,000 miles on stock original injectors. And power service in fuel, with antigel in colder months. Felt really good on hour and half ride home! I hear arch oil is good too . . Anything to help keep clean oil and prevent stiction is a good thing in a 6.0. . . . .
