Default ect eot question

OK so i did purchase the edge monitor for my 04 with 60K on it. I also installed the coolant filter. Everything seemed fine while driving. Towing the boat, 21 arima hardtop, over a decent grade i sometimes get more then 15 degree difference, but it quickly goes back into compliance. is this ok, or should it NEVER be more then the 15 degree difference once warmed up? Still has the stock egr/oil cooler. thanks JR

Concern yourself with how the numbers look unloaded, flat and level, at 65~70 mph, at operating temperature. Loaded is going to show a higher split because the truck is working. While I wouldn't disregard them completely, I wouldn't use them as a basis to the oil cooler's health.

Realistically it should NEVER be more, but it's probably not as bad if it's doing it while you're hauling up a hill.

I'm not sure my numbers would help much, I don't know that I've ever tried recording it when my headgaskest weren't shot. I was recording mine a couple weeks ago, temps stayed within 3-7* of each other on flat ground, going uphill my coolant shot up to 20* above oil, which is backwards for an oil cooler, so my cooler is probably fine, but my gaskets are poop.
