Nitrous is ok in small amounts, it can still have that big BOOM in diesels, plenty of vids on youtube, but that's usually guys running huge shots and hitting it as early as possible on the drag strip. A progressive shot starting small and getting bigger would be ok, or a quick burst once your turbo is lit... wouldn't really hurt much. The beauty of nitrous in a diesel is you really can't over-do it if you take a progressive approach to it. Start with a small jet and just keep bumping it up until you notice the truck slow down, then just back it off a jet or two. I would also highly suggest getting a tune specifically for nitrous use. Eric writes a bunch of them for basically stock 6.0's running just tuners. I believe he just pulls some timing to keep the cylinder pressures down.

Now that's pretty cool! Gale Banks pequed my interest with his 14-71 blown DuraSmoke. Would the parasitic loss of a belt driven blower outweigh the hp? What about a gear driven blower coming off of the aft mounted accesory drive section? You know, where the HPOP is driven. Of course now you're getting into cowl and hood clearance issues.

Maybe a progressive nitrous system (tapers in the nitrous instead of one brutal slam) would be the easiest answer for a confined space.

Did anyone else notice that the plumbing was 3" just like the OEM stuff?
Man, that engine is enough to give a dead man a hard-on!!!!
