Default Intercooler Boot

I just installed the Magnaflow 5" turbo back exhaust kit om my 04 6.0L F250 crew cab, and now it's blowing the boot at the intercooler. I have taken this apart and cleaned with alcohol, the boot, pipe and the clamp, torque clamp to 60 in/lbs and it still blows off.

Suggestions? Who makes a high performance boot kit, that won't blow off?

Take off clamp, clean again, right before install use some hair spray on it, then clamp it down. If that don't work, you may need new boot and clamp.

I've heard RiffRaff diesel makes a good boot.

It shouldn't be an issue really. Which side is blowing off? You said at the intercooler, but didn't specify which connection. Crank those clamps down too. Are you sure the plastic part of the intercooler isn't damaged in any way?

It's blowing the lower boot on the pipe side, I'll try the hair spray trick and see if that works, and crank down the clamps, at 60 in/lbs they didn't seem like they where as tight as they could be.

Um... the lower boot on the pipe side? Well there are two intercooler pipes going to the bottom of the intercooler, one on the drivers side (cold side) and one on the passenger side (hot side).

Either way, crank those clamps down. That's only 5 ft/lbs.
