Default Bit the bullet

Well my 350 still won't start in the cold unless plugged in and since it was 2F this morning I didn't even bother trying.

Tested the FICM and that tested fine on all cycles so I don't think it is that.

When it does start it runs rough as hell and smokes (black diesel) until it warms up. So I bit the bullet and ordered the Auto Enginuity w/ Ford bundle from KT to start figuring out what I will need. Just waiting for the dog sled to deliver it.

Figured it made more sense to spend some money to diagnose the problem instead of just throwing money at it. I figure it will be cheaper in the long run. I just hope the software is "dummy friendly"

AE take a little playing with to get the hang of it, but it's not hard. Here is a little quick start user video I made.

When surfing the net, save any info that you may find useful for diagnostics. Here are some I have saved on my phone.

It's not a basic OBDII connector. The AE Pro-Line OBDII connector is proprietary, which means the software will only work with the Pro-Line OBDII connector.
