'04 f350 hpop question

Truck supposedly was running just fine. I am helping a friend. We were just doing an egr delete/oil xooler, and he wanted to go deeper to just do preventative maintenance. We took the hoop cover off, sat it on the table and two steel ***** shaped like jelly beans fell out. Where exactly did they come from? We havent takin anything else out. Just the icp valve and cover. Anyone know of a reference sight, or any pucs that show how to put them back in? (If it is possible). Also I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way in the '04s but the screen on the icp valve was dented in. No holes, just dented in.

Update: it is the ipr valve that has screen indents in it, and the two steel jelly bean ***** fit perfectly in the indents. Now just have to figure how to get back in.

The ***** fit perfectly in the screen indents, but we don't think they go there. I would think the would throw off the pressure readings. Talked to a few mechanics today and noone had seen them before. One thought they may be "rocker bearings"?? that made their way through hpop. Truck isnt missing or running badly. I've tried to post pics, but no success so far.
