'04 f350 hpop question

Pulled hpop cover off an '04 f350 and these two steel jelly bean looking things fell out. Anyone know where they go, how they go, or what holds them in?

They are part of th pump, if they are out of it then the pump is dead. Did you have it stall on you and not restart?

Truck supposedly was running just fine. I am helping a friend. We were just doing an egr delete/oil xooler, and he wanted to go deeper to just do preventative maintenance. We took the hoop cover off, sat it on the table and two steel balls shaped like jelly beans fell out. Where exactly did they come from? We havent takin anything else out. Just the icp valve and cover. Anyone know of a reference sight, or any pucs that show how to put them back in? (If it is possible). Also I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way in the '04s but the screen on the icp valve was dented in. No holes, just dented in.

Update: it is the ipr valve that has screen indents in it, and the two steel jelly bean balls fit perfectly in the indents. Now just have to figure how to get back in.

Indents?? try to post some pics if you can. Trying to recall what the heck they are, thought they were press fit, let me go look at a cver and I will get back o you.

The balls fit perfectly in the screen indents, but we don't think they go there. I would think the would throw off the pressure readings. Talked to a few mechanics today and noone had seen them before. One thought they may be "rocker bearings"?? that made their way through hpop. Truck isnt missing or running badly. I've tried to post pics, but no success so far.
