Default need help on a 7.3 idi

so i just got my first ford...its a 91 f350 7.3 idi turbo...now it has a pretty rough idle to it but if you give it just a tad of juice it runs smooth...it always takes a few seconds to start warm or cold and seems a little hesitant when i stomp on it...any suggestions?? and its a 5 speed

Take it to a diesel shop so they can time it.you have to have a special one for diesels

so the problem is the timing on the injectors??? would any of them being bad do the same thing? and its a 91 7.3 idi turbo....i recently found out that they didnt start putting the turbos in till 94...anyone know anything about this?? and it practically runs the battery dead before it starts when the motor is cold...even if its 60 out side

Banks ate and hypermax all made aftermarket turbos for these trucks, I have had both banks and the ate turbos. They are Gerry helpful if you tow, the 7.3 is gutless without one. You may need new batteries if they are dead befor you get it started, check all your cables they may be corroded

before starting when it's been sitting in the a.m. check the fuel/water seperator, if its not full of fuel I would say you have a slight fuel bowl issue wich is common, replace with a 1 pc. filter/seperator, baldwin BF-1222 is one part number... I run them with out issue's. start there and keep us posted......
