could be tps or tach sensor or speed sensor or bad connection on the connector on the trans... But if that light is blinking there should be a code.........

 

Also your scanner wont retrive codes on that old of a vehicle since its OBDI fyi...

you may want to check your cps but that would prob show up on a scanner unless your truck is to old

 

sounds like you need to rip that old IDI out and replace it with a real motor....... powerstroke! get with it kid..........

well if you want to get technical..... my motor is 3yrs newer and it has way more upgrades and is way more powerful.............sooo...... rip it out and put a nice strong motor that you can do a lot of upgrades to btw your stacks should be turned uou and not that hight over the cab
