Well, I bleed it untill there is no pressure coming out but, not getting any fuel out of it either. I just put a new filter on it and I have a new lift pump here at the house. Should I go ahead and change the lift pump?

I'm dealing with the same problem right now but my fuel leak is on top of the engine by where the nozzle meets the injector. It took me a while but i finally found out that it was sucking air in the fuel system. Try to find out right where fuel is leaking and fix the problem.

I am having the same problem, kinda, i have discovered that there is no power going to the high idle switch, i have power going to the ip, but no power to the connection further back on the top right, and no power to the bottom left, and i dont wanna rip the wiring apart to find where it comes from, and i cant seem to find the wiring diagram for it either, all new o rings on my injectors, slight leak by my front left injector, truck runs for mebbe 30 sec, but only with ether to start it....grrrrr

Did you fill the new filter with diesel before you put it on? Crack all 8 injector lines open about 1 turn. Crank the engine over for 30 seconds, then let sit for a few minutes so you don't burn up the starter. Probably going to have to hook up a battery charger on it also as this could take a bit. Make sure your filter is full of fuel first. after each time you crank it over with the lines open go out and check to see if there is fuel coming to any of them, they will be wet around them. If it is wet around anyone of them you can go ahead and tight that one back down, then do the same for the rest of them. go ahead and run your glow plugs and it should start. these things a bears to start after they have been run out of fuel or you have air in the system. I would probably disconnect the line from the out let side of the lift pump first to make sure it is pumping fuel. do this first.

Here"s a rule to live by. (NEVER TRUST THE FUEL GAUGE ON ONE OF THESE OLD TRUCKS). the sender goes bad quite often, plus I know in my 85 there is a rubber pickup on the bottom of the fuel sender in the tank and they rot out after so long, so if this has happened your sender will not reach the fuel if your under 1/4 Tank. Make sure you have at least 5 gallons in there.
