Default smoke and tranny

i was wonderin the best way to increase the out put of how much coal i roll in my 85 6.9? i know i can tweak the fuel pump. is ther any other way thats safer so i dont screw up my engine. And second i cant tell if my truck has od or not it dosent say on the das but it seems like it want to go another gear when im on the road.

I can't remember but I'm pretty sure you have a C6 tranny and no overdrive... Whether it wants to go another gear and whether it can are two different things.

Smoke = unburnt fuel, Doesn't matter how you get it, you're adding heat to the motor and that's where the problems will arise.
