Im wondering if any one can give me some tips on changing my pump....with the timing?

 

to time the pump correctly u will need the special timing meter. can find em on ebay if u wanted to. normally around 200-300 bucks.
most older diesel shops should be able to time it for ya.

just lining up the lines on the pump and gear housing will let it run, but timing wont be correct.
