somebody overtorqued them.
what i have done is taked a drillbit that was a little bigger than the hole. thread that in with a pair of vice grips and pull out on the bit. sorta like an easy out.
dont go to big or u will be trying to drill the head. just 1 size bigger than the new coppers.
can also try tapping on the edge of the copper with a punch, popping it loose. never had much luck with that one though.

I had the same problem when I did my injectors, I had 3 of them stick like that. I used a slide hammer to remove them. Thats what happens when the copper washers fail and compression forces soot/fuel into that little gap. I had a hook tool set I used to scrape around in there to get the washers out. Chances are there is a layer of that crud holding it in the bottom of the bore. I also took a vacumn hose and wrapped one end with tape so that it fit in the end of a shop vac and used that to suck the loose crud out of the bores. A shotgun cleaning tool is also handy for cleaning things up.

yea ive had the same problem with mine. i had no clue what i was doing and ended up going thru 2 whole cans or starter fluid trying to blast the carbon build up out, bad idea i put all the injectors in with out cleaning the starter fluid out i almost locked upp the motor with all the starter fluid sitting in the cylinder it blew nasty thick black smoke and knocked like a sombitch for like 5 minuits at idol. the grinding of the threads and screwing it back into the other half is the best trick ive used. also double cheack u get all the old copper washers out because if u put a new one in with the old one already in the nozzole will sit to high in the head and im gona assume it wont run right, thats wat happend to me. just for the record what injectors did u get and where from. i need new ones BADD

Dont go to NAPA or any parts store for the kit, they are WAY overpriced. Unless you get viton o-rings, you are gonna have leaks when you play with the lines. After a few heat cycles they tend to harden and not seal very well. I got viton rings in my 93 and have removed the caps 3 times and they still dont leak. At $8 for a pack of 50 rings, you cant go wrong. If you need a complete kit, I hear good things about Pensacola diesel, but toss the rings and go to Mcmaster Carr and get some viton rings.
