not throwing love to a 6BT but for pennies they can beat the brakes off an IDI. If you are in it for nostalgia, sure we all love our trucks and the engines that kick along and work well but if you want to throw numbers, you need to look elsewhere. Sad but true. you can pump nearly 90HP into a 6BT with a simple fuel pump mod. Most guys with our trucks dont get that much from a whole turbo setup. Stock for stock, i can have fun with a 6BT, but if they do anything with fuel, its game set match. Problem arises when we try to get to the bigger boost numbers, its a lot of work just to safely hit 20PSI, and that is pushing the limit. Anything over that and you better have your wood screws on boy!! haha. Larger components and stronger components period, power goes to the 6BT.

Yea, what are first and second gen cummins? Oh wait, that's what I thought. There is more mechanical engines that just the 6.9 and 7.3 idi, and I know bc I have a first gen cummins
