6.9 help

ok so when i start my truck i notice that all my lights dim when it starts, and when i give it throttle the lights get brighter. Im thinkin it could be the alternator is bad or that my battries are shot. Any ideas?

test the alternator. mine did it some too but it didnt bother me

I've had that issue caused by bad grounds and a bad voltage regulator.

what would be the best size alternator to get?

if u test the alternator also have the battery tested... if those are good then you have a bad chassis ground...

just get a 130 amp and get it over with!! haha. napa carries them and mine works perfect!!

well i tested the battries after a full cahrge and one came up round 12 and the other didnt even hit 8 so tht could be my problem too. but i also need new cables cause the ones i got now are shot.
