Default 84 f250 with 6.9 batteries going dead.

I have an 84 f250 with a 6.9 that seems to keep draining the batteries. Checked the batteries a day or two ago
and they was down to a little over 3 volts, checked them today down to .27 volts. The only thing I've done recently is change the starter. Could it be shorted out and draining the batteries or should I look elsewhere????

if your sure nothing happened before the starter change then yes i would think the starter or wires around it..something could be pinched....scott

First make sure your battery will charge to 12.5V or higher, second make sure you power wires or not touching a ground of any sort, second check for a parasetic draw.
