7.3idi non turbo

A non turbo diesel is going to sound just like a gas v8 at the tailpipe, so what ever you may have liked on one of them will sound just as good on your truck. My 86 has a flowmaster and it's too quiet. The diesel clatter is loud enough that I dont hear the exhaust at all, even if I stand next to the tailpipe.

It's not terribly difficult but it can be a pain sometimes. Go the list of posts in this forum and at the very top of the list are two posts, labeled "Turning up a 6.9 and 7.3 mechanical motor" and "Can we make this a sticky please". Either one of those posts will tell in great detail how to turn up your IP. I dont suggest doing it though until you have a pyrometer. The N/A motors generate heat a lot quicker and can quickly turn your truck into a lawn ornament.
