deisel fuel leaking from under flywheel
Hey, it's been a while since I have needed to try and get some info from the pros! Last time I was having a fuel leak, I got the right fix and took care of that aggrevating "yellow drain valve" o-ring thingy!! That was no problem to take care of once the right parts got to me. Thanks. This time it seems a little more serious!
After changing fuel filters, and having some issues with certain brand that use the "beveled" cut o-ring, I found a product that had a "rectangle" cut o-ring and put that problem to rest.
Now I have a more serious fuel leak coming from underneath. After closer inspection, found that the fuel was running down off the oil pan and the flywheel(had to remove the dust cover) and practically streaming down onto the ground.(I did put a suitable container for catching the fuel) This happens whith just the key turned on, no motor running yet. Huge fuel leaking! Can't drive it like this! What could possible be allowing fuel into this area.
There is a "dust cover" plate that bolts onto the backside of the motor block(right in front of the flywheel) and it seems as if the fuel is dripping off of it and then flowing down to all the other areas!
