84 f250 6.9 diesel need help
2 weeks ago i posted about our f250 diesel having problems with occaisional stalling,we asked our son to begin taking note of patterns leading up to stalls. he indicates that when leaving his school parking lot it will frequently stall, sometimes 2 or 3 times then he can start it and drive away,he also indicated once being in left turn lane to cross traffic he began to accelerate and it stalled. We have replaced(brand new)fuel filter, fuel pump,i also need to note that it seems to idle just fine at a stop light etc, Please HELP

Try the injector pump solinoid there it a wire that goes to it if it's loos or unplugged it will stop the flow of fuel to the injectors. It's on the riverside of the pump and it's the wire closest to the fire wall. If that's not it it could b the lift pump is sucking air or not pushing enough fuel or the injector pump needs to be replaced or retimed. Could also b a bad or several bad injectors if the truck idols smooth then it's probably not an injector.

help
i just bought a 1984 f250 with a 6.9l powerstroke with 137,000 original miles and a 4 speed tranny with a granny gear . paid 1,000 bucks for it.
it starts and idles. but when i drive for a short distance, it stalls out. and it takes for ever to start. i just replaced the fuel filter. any ideas on what it could be.

They are about 532 for a remand one. But that might not b it the timing could be off or the mechanical lift pump is not pumping enough fuel volume to the injector pump which will cause the motor to stall under acceleration. But first Try the injector pump solinoid there it a wire that goes to it if it's loos or unplugged it will stop the flow of fuel to the injectors. It's on the driverside of the pump and it's the wire closest to the fire wall

unique stalling situation
First off, thank you to those of you who gave me some ideas on where to start.
thank you for taking the time !
As I thought more about whats been happening, here's what I've found. I sat in the truck with it running and at a standstill turned the steering all the way to the left,Truck stalled, started back up turned wheel all the way to right, and again stalled there seems to be something that correlates between the two ? also on the instrument panel the fuel gauge needle will intermitently drop to showing empty, all other gauges continue to work. when I jiggle the key slightly the fuel needle moves back up to showing full tank like it should.
I'm Perplexed,
Any Ideas
