Injection Pump Issues

The pickups in these tanks like to break off and suck air when the level gets to 1/4. Since you replaced the injection pump, you do need to get the truck timed, lining up the timing marks will only get you in the ball park. Occasionally changing the lift pump could slightly affect timing, but it's unlikely.

to test this, i would unhook the fuel line going into the block mounted pump. hook up a longer line and go into a can full of diesel. see if system will bleed. if so does it run.


or u could dump more fuel in tanks.
