Yes it is the driver side. It is more raw fuel smell and it is grey color. The pump is timed.

possibly a new injector is bad. were they new or remans? also where did u get them from?

remans from penscola diesel
i usually dont get remans but i was trying to save some money and i thank it cost me more than its worth i have had 3 bad injectors already i have changed

penscola has a bed rep for idi injectors. i would see if u can get another set from somewhere else and make sure they are pressure matched before they ship them.

Pensacola just sent us out 3 more since they are under a year warranty and these actually were new ones instead of remans. We got the timing on the pump just about right. The IP was not new. It was a good used one. We believe that it may have been turned up. But everything that everyone has told us to do is working. It is getting a lot closer but we are just not quite there yet. But with your help DieselCrawler we have found that it is a fuel issue for sure. Which is really good news for us. As we do not want to have to put a motor in this truck. So hopefully with the continued help and suggestions we will be able to figure out the little problems.

i get mine at metrofuel in forth worth but the last set i got from pensacola diesel and that was not a good idea so i am going to go back and bye a hole new set at metro fuel i have bought more than small diesel injectors their also do trubos their as well havent had any trouble out of any product from metro fuel and very help full with any questions that u may need an answer for
