does anyone know if psd hardware will fit an idi if so what do i need, the turbo the exhaust manifolds, the tubes from man to turbo the down pipe, are the intakes the same? anything slse i need please help me out, this is a low buck autowrecker build, also how much can i crank the pump up once its turboed, you hear about turbo idi's all the time but noone ever says how much they crank the pump up, any help please let me know thanks

 

the manifolds nor the up pipes will fit.... been there, tried that.... you can make the turbo work with the IDI manifolds if you make your own set of up pipes.... and the intake setup is not even close to the same.... your gonna have make a special piece there too...

with a turbo you can usually turn the pump up bout 4 flats.... maybe more, you just have see what your truck likes...

 

Make sure ya have a pyro if you mess with the pump too much. And a boost gauge helps find that sweet spot in the boost. keep it under 15lbs of boost.

a psd turbo will not bolt on to these engines. but hell with a torch, grinder and welder anything can be done.

as stated, install pyro and go off that. 15 psi is a little high for stock head bolts. studs can get away with 15. stock motor u dont want much more then 12.
