93 F-350 7.3 IDI Turbo smoking

Replace the IP (Did screw up a little Pulled the gear)

set the gear TDC reattached the pump. I am wondering if I might be a tooth or 2 off if that is the cause of the smoke

or do I need to just adjust the IP?

could be your pump has the fuel screw set higher as well

f your set too far in Advance , It will smoke ( blue if its way to far, black if its only a little .. ) Pulse timing will tell you all you need to know .. need a feret meter & timing light .

I would definitely get it timed, it's always a good idea after changing the IP and even the injectors.
