Default Front end problems

Hi there I just recently did my ball joints in my 1993 ford f250 turbo diesel, I found that after I took the wheel off the rotor would move in and out with the axle. I'm not sure what would cause this and but the other side was fine. Also what's an easy symptom to tell if your wheel bearings are worn? When ever I drive fast or slow I can hear a sort of growling noise in the front end almost like something is grinding. Thx.

spindle could be loose, wheel bearing will need to be inspected to determine if there toast, if there is ANY pitting or flaking of the crome, there done...

ake sure you re-pack them real goood with a high temp disc brake grease ...

Well I know the spindle isn't loose because I just put it on. I'm wondering if it could be a seal or somethig?

If you can move the hub in and out on the spindle, your wheel bearings are not right ...

Yeah I'm hoping it's just the wheel bearings. Should be an easy fix.

Oh I've taken everything apart in there before I just forgot to take a look at the wheel bearing. Thanks a lot for the help. I'll let you know how she goes.
