Default Hard start warm or cold??

I'm new to this sight and to prove that I was in the wrong section for about 2 hors before realizing it!! Anyway I bought Marge in Oct 2013 and she had new plugs, controller, fender solenoid and batteries put in August. Still take a few tries to get her started, but when she is going she runs perfect. I pulled the starter the other day and the solenoid is bad so I'm waiting to get paid so I can order one. Till then if anyone has pointers or something else I need to check I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

Could be fuel control solenoid In IP .... Low fuel delivery pressure .... Umm ... Yeah maybe filters ... Line could be pinched somewhere between something .. From tank to lift pump. ...

I did see something about the injector pump and being able to adjust it? I need to get a repair manual does anyone know of a good one? I found a Chilton for that year and a Haynes for the diesel engines. I've always used Haynes but are Chilton just as good?
