Default 88 f250 7.3 idi wont stay running!! White smoke

I just got a 88 7.3 idi i drove it home a hour and a half drive fine i parked it over night. Due to a shortage problem i have to disconnect my ground wires but i forgot so the next morning i went out and it was dead i tried pop starting it not thinking and it would start then die start then die i finally got a jump sense then it will start this with any throttle it dies and wont idle very long i replaced the return lines because they started to leak when i popped started it. But same problem new fuel filter and fuel pump it rolls a lot of white smoke as well if anyone can help my i would appreciate it!

The is wha I fund on another web site, pretty accurate even wit the plugging of their product.

White smoke occurs when raw diesel comes through the exhaust completely intact and unburned. Some causes of this include

Faulty or damaged injectors
Incorrect injection timing (could be a worn timing gear or damaged crankshaft keyway).
Low cylinder compression (eg caused by leaking or broken valves, piston ring sticking, cylinder and/or ring wear, or cylinder glaze)
When white smoke occurs at cold start, and then disappears as the engine warms up, the most common causes are fouling deposits around piston rings and/or cylinder glazing. Use of our Flushing Oil Concentrate and FTC Decarbonizer address these respective problems.

Water entering combustion spaces will also create white smoke. Faulty head gaskets and cracked cylinder heads or blocks are a common cause of water entry, and are often to blame. Unfortunately, expensive mechanical repair is the only proper solution here.

Most likley it is due to multiple issues ...... ie: like no glow plug start or bad injector (s) ... poor delivery pressure to injector and to injection pump ..... need fuel pressure readings to the injection pump ......

What pressure should it be at injector and how much compression should it have?

Should have around 7psi @ Idle ...... compression #'s ..... 350 ish I believe. .... migyt have to call international or look around for those #'s ...... the compression ratio is 21.5:1 in these IDI's ...... hence a big turbo being a bad thing
