Default 88 350 brake lights

So the genius before me decided to rewire the brake light trigger for a trailer brake controller and almost set it on fire. I bought a new trigger and rewired it but when I put the fuse in the panel that is supposed to be factory wired it still doesn't work! Any ideas?

Nah see they still come on with the lights just not with brakes. They run off the same fuse as the cruise control and hazardd and they dont work either.

something is majorly screwie here .... its a real simple system .... somewhere along the line you loosing your break signal to thee rear .... gonna have to trace the wires, wire by wire ... i had to do the same because of a 7 way theat some idiot hacked in w/scotch locks ...

I FKing hate those damn things..... why not just short out the wiring and try again .... not even in an emergency would i use those damn things ..... argggggg ......
