84 f250 6.9 starting problems
I'm a Diesel virgin having a similar, if not same, problem.
My 1987 Ford F250 6.9 ltr sat for over 6 months... now will not start.
Batteries are good and the engine is turning over well.
I'm considering priming the lines, and would like advice on priming procedure.
Any arguments advising an alternate procedure is also welcome.
Thanks

I would loosen each line at the injectors one at a time and crank the motor. Retighten after seeing wet (fuel). If all injectors are getting fuel and no start, might be gummed up injectors. Check your glow plugs as well. Good luck.
I fixed the problem. I thought at first it was the return lines as well but come to find out it was actually sucking in air. I replaced the fuel line from the tank to the mechaical pump and it did the trick. One way i got fuel was filled the fuel filter up and then used a siphoning tool and sucked the fuel through the line before i put it back on the pump, worked really well had fuel instantly.
