Block heater
I have a 1988 F350 with a PSD. It's a southern california truck and its not liking the cold midwest winter. I've looked for the orange cord by the oil filter and couldn't find one. Do all trucks come with the block heater?
Thanks

Nope not all. Well, let me re-state that. Maybe you do have a block heater, but not the cord that plugs into it. You may really have to research that. My dad had a 1987 ford diesel IDI, many years ago. His truck did have a block heater, but not the cord. He had to get that separately. I too had a ford diesel at one time, a newer one, and it did have a block heater with the cord. Hope that helps.
Thanks,
I did find it. I started looking by the passenger side battery and found some wires that were zip tied, pulled one of them up and found the plug. I plugged it in and the radiator started making noise so I assumed the heater and pump started working. Left it plugged in and 3 hours latter my truck start up no problem.
