Build or buy?
I believe that I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on upgrading the trans in my truck. (02 2500 with a 47RE) I want to go with Goerend as my one stop source for everything. I work at a shop where there is a Dodge certified transmission rebuilder. Is there any benefit to buying a whole unit, as compared to buying all the parts and having him rebuild it? Obviously Goerend isn't going to put every little step they perform on a new trans on the website, but I did see this " The Trans case is drilled for extra lube to the rear one way roller clutch. " My rebuilder probably isn't going to perform this step. Thoughts?
90 hits no reply? I was mainly concerned about warranty issues, If they were void if the "build" was performed outside of there shop. If anyone had any experience with a warranty claim, etc. I do have an e-mail into Goerend, but have not heard back yet.
I don't think I can pm. yet. Either that or I can't find it.
I originally wanted a stage 5 ATS. I recently heard some peoples first hand accounts of customer service issues. I am open to other suggestions. E-mail me redneckracerx@yahoo.com
