i hope they build the cummins that diesel power editor wrote about last month in diesel power. a over head cam engine with integrated jake brake not exhaust an actual jake. with a heavy duty auto behind it. if they do ill have one
Well the 350HP is a little number play, but going opposite of what they normally do. Apparently, there's an extra 40hp on tap under normal driving conditions, making it 390HP. Still short of Fords 400/800, but those numbers are inflated according to chassis dyno's.
With the new 8 speed auto the power numbers won't mean much. The 2 extra gears will more than make up for a few fewer HP... But that'll probably be coming out with the 5th Gen truck in 2013/14.

I'm sorry dude but Im still not following you
The 6.7 has a DPF and an EGR system (probably urea before too long too) just like the LMM or LML Dmax or 6.4 or 6.7 Powerstroke. And on the 6.7 Cummins, there are alot of people that shell out the money to do DPF and EGR deletes. So what are you trying to say?

I have a buddy that works at the cummins plant here (he works in the emissions lab) and he said he was running a chrysler engine a few weeks ago that was pulling 350hp still BUT it was pulling over 800 torque!! Im sure they were still tweaking on it though.

I really dont care about the urea, I think its a very minor thing compared to DPF's (which kill mileage) and EGR's (which kill engines). Other than a little extra cost every now and then (which if you can spend 50-70k on a new truck I think you can afford) I dont think the urea causes any major problems.
