Edge first, trust me....I went with the smarty first and am not impressed, truck still defuels which wouldn't be that bad for you since you have a manual but, Like DM said its more of an add on for something else. My truck is still ssssllllooooowww with the smarty, honestly I was not impressed for all the hype it gets. just my .02 but I wish I had gone with something else first, I will give it to the smarty though it fuels ok down low.

ok.

I also heard from someone else that the TST pure fueling box would be better than the comp as the smarty adds timing and comp does as well, which could overtime my truck?

I forget which it is but you only use either the odd or even numbers on the Comp. It only adds timing on one or the other I just don't remember which. Personally I not a TST fan just because it's not adjustable, it's either on or off.

Dont listen to the 12V guy...get the Smarty First. Then you can clear all your codes when you get the Comp.

Just tried a Smarty last weekend. I was pleasantly suprised.

i was talking to Cliff (lostnwalmart) about it last night and he said id be better off with that TST box as its a pure fueling box and doesnt add or adjust timing.

Well it's been 1 or 8 years since I bought my Comp, back then they were an on or off type box is what I was told when I was askin questions about which one to get. I'm still a believer in my Comp though. They have had a few issues that needed to be resovled through customer service but their customer service has always been great to work with. The last time I had a problem I sent them my box and the next day one showed in my mail box to replace it. That's hard to find now days. By the way, I will have me a Smarty to go with it one of these days.

They are both good at what they do. If you have bigger injectors and a stock turbo adding the smarty will not do much except create even more smoke for a 24V truck. Using a COMP will allow you to adjust your smoke. Now, that said, without the injectors the smarty on a 24V truck up to level 5 is great for just about everyone. I highly recommend them.

Add a smarty to a 24V CR truck and it is an entirely different story - oh baby...

DR. E, if you need one...

It really depends on what you want? Low End Grunt=Smarty... Tons of Power=Comp...........
