I used to love smoke. I took pride in the fact I got a smoke letter from the SCCAMD (southern ca clean air management district) while driving my old truck. Now with my new truck and better knowledge and understanding of everything, I try to keep smoke to a minimum.

As the guys above said, its a good thing to only reserve it for tailgaters. But really, to each thier own...

EDIT: wow with this post, i think i need to change my license plates...

Well I am on the wagon here, Smoke isnt as fun as it used to be. BUT dont think i don't still play with it just because I can. I love to get out on the highway in a convoy of other trucks and play around a little or teach a tailgater their lesson. Just be careful though i didn't even realize how dangerous it could be until a buddy told me one night he couldn't even see my tail lights or through an intersection. I have since learned there is a time and place for it. Now that I have sided with everyone else and probably made you think you will never get your help i will get back to your question. There are a few things you can do. Cheaper ways would be i guess get a more restrictive filter, maybe some RV275's and the hot code for your juice. I wouldn't recommend unplugging the map sensor it doesn't work like it does with the comps or drag comps and it wont smoke or run worth a damn. Depending on what you want to build it for will determine how much it will smoke I shot for 500HP and got there and a little more smoke came with every mod. A good running fast truck will have smoke off the line or if you lug it b/c it will never spool the turbo immediately. I would just sit down and think about what you want the end result to be and work towards that. Keep asking questions I have done almost everything twice b/c i didn't like the outcome. These guys here are great and they know there stuff. Sorry for the run on if you are around much you will see my brain is never in the same spot for more than a couple seconds.
