Default Abs problems 1997 3500 4x4

Here is the problem: Every once in a while the brake pedal will be hard to push. Then it will push like normal after the Abs and brake light come on. Sometimes I can hear a clicking noise from under the dash at random times (lights off). I have changed the speed sensor in the rear axle and today I am going to buff the pulse rings on the front axle. The front wheel bearings feel tight. When I shut the truck off and restart it the light will be off.
