TST has developed an add-on computer which takes over control of the injection pump for the ultimate torque increase. This add-on computer, the PowerMax™ power level of 60 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque above stock at the ground. PowerMax™2 adds 90 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque at the ground. PowerMax™3 adds 120 hp and 360 torque at the ground (expect about 10% less with automatics). This add-on takes about 30 to 60 minutes to install and normally has no affect on tank mileage. Manual transmissions work with either PowerMax or PowerMax™2 power levels, however, automatics may require the aid of a valve body upgrade kit for the PowerMax™2 level. Towing is not recommended with the PowerMax™3, automatics will require valve body enhancements, and the manual transmissions will require a clutch upgrade. Dimensions on PowerMax™ Computer - Width 3.5" Height 1.25" Depth 4.5"

Good Post Luke!

The remote for the Powermax is the only thing you need to have regular access to. You can just turn the box on and tuck it under the knee bolster when you have the remote.

have been reading in this thread, would like more power, but as little smoke as possible, smoke is only used for afterburners, don't have one of those.

Is leaning to the edge comp or tst unit.

Blowin smoke aint hard! Just upshift and let it lug. You'll throw out more smoke than you can shake a stick at.

Besides with your planned mods; box, 100-150hp sticks, and a manual w/ a stock turbo that well smoke whenever ya want no problemo.

The result of this end game is making power w/ no smoke as that means your getting the maxium outta your mods and their working together. A smokey truck has way to much fuel for the amount of air it can suck in.

Besides, you throwin smoke everywhere don't help diesel's reputation as a clean emissions vehicle.

No magic to it...............you just have to supply adequate enough air to burn all the diesel injected.

It's easy to throw more fuel to a engine. Plug a box in and go. Lot more goes into getting air into and out of the engine as you have to upgrade the intake filter, turbo, and exhaust.
