Default Rear Disc Brakes

Ok, my brother is trying to change his brake pads on his 02 and being that i live an 1.5 hours away i cant really help him , he cant figure out how to get the old pads off the caliper, and he cant explain it good enough to me for me to help. so if anybody can explain it to me so i can explain it to him it would be greatly aprreciated.

Thanks Chris
