Well, smoke aside from being NOT what you want - it's unburnt fuel also raises the EGT a whole bunch.

In fact I would consider upgrading the turbo first and then sticks.

Turbos are alot of money tho. im graduating out of colege now. So i dont have to much money at the moment until i start my job at the Kenworth dealer. Maybe after that i can buy one but for now i want to make some cheap power and smoke.

well get the biggest injectors you can find then and push the pedal hard and you will burn through more than a few tanks for fuel that way.

having limited money being a student you really don't want smoke - trust me. you don't.

It is almost $6 a gallon here and I'm getting ready to park the truck...

You wont get 28 mpg. I would check your math.. First off get a EGT gauge minimum. about $160.. grind a 10 plate.. free.. Buy a 3K govenor spring kit. $125. Then buy some used injectors $200-600. I would get the best you can afford. I am running a set of New era diesels 435s. I bought them for $300. You wont be able to run a set that big but look around here and try ebay for some good deals. Pm me if you have any ?s about injectors if you find a set to buy. I have ran 6 different sets in my truck.. With these mods you will be able to blow some smoke and still get low 20s mpg. My truck gets 21-22 depending on the weight of my foot..
