Default 48re shifting into overdrive to soon

Hello everyone, newbie here to the forum. I've got a 07 Dodge 2500 5.9 and I do a lot of towing. I've replaced the governor pressure switch and relay already and serviced the transmission. The problem is that when towing it seems to shift into overdrive to soon. I have to lift the throttle then step back down to get it to downshift and pull again. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

The 48re transmission has a service life of between 140K - 180K miles, though I am sure there are exceptions to these parameters, especially when the truck hasn't been used for towing. When these trans start having issues it is usually a warning that it is time for a re-manufacture. I don't like shop rebuilds because I have seen too many of them that don't last.
