Default Should I cut off my catalytic converter when installing stacks?

I just put duel stacks on my 2005 3500 and was wondering if I should cut off my catalytic converter? Would I get a better, deeper sound and better performance? Will I get warning lights coming on in the dash?

I dont know the technical explanation of what it does but it quiets the turbo down. its inside the turbo right after your your intake tube. theres a ton of videos on youtube about taking it out they're pretty helpful.

My brothers 95 has the silencer ring taken out by him. The Snap Ring in his was stuck so he just bent the ring out with a set of vice grips/locking pliers and left the snap ring in. Took about 15 minutes. All you got to do is take off the air filter box tube (The tube going from the air filter box to the front of the turbo) And you will see it staring you in the face.

As far as the other question, you will probably see lower EGTs, Definately a deep throaty sound that will anger the prius people, a better breathing engine, and, if you add a better filter for air, a bit more throttle response. My brothers 95 has a straight pipe in place of the CAT and muffler, but his still comes out the passenger side dual like from the factory but with a 5 or 6 inch tip. You can still roll down the window and stomp it at the red light with an agressive note, but not so loud you cant crank the rock n roll or talk to the pretty thing next to you. Read my thread about stacks. It should give you a good idea of some problems and perks. Hope this helps!!
