Are the 1st gens any good?
I'm pretty much set on the 12v because I love the simplicity of having no computer, and because they're cheaper. Sue me.
Anyways, I was wondering how good the 1st gens are. Found a 92 D250 for rather cheap, and want to jump on it if at all possible. Should I hold out for a later year 2nd gen, or will I be ok with a 1st gen? In my area, it's very hard to find 1st/2nd gens, and they're usually in the $9-$12k range.

what area is that I need to sell my first gen up there. I live my 1st gen because nobody assumes its diesel. and other then the engine partsthe rest is easy to findin the yard. I hate my 1st gens back seat we fit all five of us in the truck all the time wit a bench seat and the fold down rears there are justso dang small. Other then that there great.

i loved the first gen we had for the farm it could be sitting out in the dead of winter and covered in 3 ft of snow and she fire right up not plugged in if only a could pursade her to move (2wd) i be doing good but other then that loved the truck other then it was bitch to stop her. That and every one got outta you way for some reason it couldn't be cause the truck had hit everything but the lottery
