Is that also how the marine engine ends up with a lower comp ratio?

You don't need different rods, the only difference is in the pin.

can you gain more power on an intercooled truck by putting an intercooled head with the larger injectors on it? or is it a waste of time. ive always been curious how that works

Do you mean gain power from putting an intercooled head on a non-intercooled engine?

ya or even vice versa? since the injectors are bigger in the non intercooled trucks, could you put that head on an intercooled truck and flow more through the non intercooled injectors since theyre bigger?

i dont know if it works or not just a thought ive wondered i dont know squat about the physics of an injector

I would stick with the 7mm head, the swirl design on the ports is superior. You could make more hp using a non I/C injector however since the hone size is larger.
