Ok so its only the non-I/Ced injectors that are different. Good to know. Thanks for clearing that up Weston!

I think the confusion is when someone uses a stock marine tip ( 370's and 435's ). Those are the ones with a different angle due to a industrial p pump having a different piston bowl. Weston, are we getting warmer??

The 435 is not a Marine nozzle, it is just a slang term given to the hone size 5x0.014". I have only read where the 1st Gen nozzles were 4x0.012" and 6x0.009", however that is not the case.

A QSB6TA ( marine 6b ) is available in a 435 horse application. I have seen them listed in the National Fisherman yearly boat engine edition.

Is it true that the industrial b's have the bigger piston bowl then the 91.5 to 98's had?
I know the 89 to 91.4's have a bigger bowl.

The 12v Marine 5.9L does use a larger piston bowl than the automotive versions. The Diamond series is mechanical, highest hp rating is 370, the Quantum series is Common Rail, highest hp rating is 480. The "435" injector is not available in any stock 12v application.

You are correct. The first link is the QSB6TA which lists fuel system as electronic HPCR ( i assume it means high performance common rail ). Those are the high hp models.

Cummins MerCruiser Diesel | QSB5.9

This second link is for the 6bta's. These are listed as P7100 pumps and go to 370.

Cummins MerCruiser Diesel | DIAMOND 330B

I think it really helps people to decide what to purchase, when they know what they have to begin with.
