Yes the ramped or cut side goes towards the front of the truck. As far as teh TPS I'm not sure. never had a truck that had one.

The is a thread on here about setting teh TPS up and adjusting it.

nothin wrong with more fuel, unless you dont have enough air... more fuel means you need more air and the sotcker only keeps up to a certain point on the high end and its pretty pathetic but get sthe job done on the low end

Sorry, I have been out of country for a while so did not see your "Q" as to anyone that may have pulled using the Denny-T pin. I have plenty of times pulled my 32 5th wheel (14K weight-dry). I did have high EGT's up hills but only could manage 40-45mph's out of her and EGT's on a 6% grade ran as high as 1100- aft turbo. At time I did not have a pre-turbo gauge. After about 30 pulls up the same hills, factory open-air, I dropped a cam follower out of her. I sold the whole truck and bought a '02 w/6 spd manual now.

I can add that this one does not have the power the GenI engine had. :-(

It won't hurt milage unless you're into the throttle a lot and building boost a lot. Normal cruising won't change at all.
