basic rule of thumb for a cummins is torque is twice as much as horse power, but in alot of cases it is more or less, so thats not bad at all good numbers.

going back looking at some dyno numbers from a dyno day we put on, the vp trucks seemed to put down 200-300 more torque then double there horsepower

200-300 is a pretty wide average to consider it a pattern isnt it?

overall average was 199.6 more then double the hp, just went and figured it all up, is that better for you , but different dynoes will very, not really something good to go off of.

thanks guys, i think to street much more hp the way i want to drive i would need a 3rd gen

I drove tads truck 2006 cummins down to North Carolina and it put down 404.5HP 813.9TQ

and let me tell you what im in love with the 2006 mega cab but the truck was a TURD , felt like it couldn't get out of its own way.

its amazing to me that our trucks are almost equal , pretty impressive how dodge and cummins was able to mask the extra power for driveabillity measures.

i really dont think i would feel safe with much more than my truck has now , its smooth power and consistent all the runs were almost identical , i believe i have properly bombed my truck , the fuel to air balance and electronic mediums seem to all mate up.

any bigger of anything would need something else bigger.

like i said i dont know what more i could of put down with the dyno tune but for me i didnt dyno to see how high i could get , i wanted to know at what hp and tq i daily drive in, and now its evident why i cannot stand to drive anything "normal" not everyday do you go get grocery's with over 1000 ft lbs of Tq

been hitting up google for dyno results and there is absolutely no correlation of hp to tq

on some of the results lists ive seen 1025 would of been 1st place
