Then that should be a pretty accurate number!

Thank you, this isnt just a guessing game but a mathematical equation. The correlation between HP and TQ and this formula are the reason why some industrial engines can make numbers like 4000HP @ 250 RPM but it makes over 84,000TQ at that RPM

At 5,252 RPMs (if you were to run that high) the HP and TQ would be equal. The further away from 5252 that you make peak TQ the further your HP and TQ numbers will be apart. You made peak TQ very early at 1950rpms, which makes for a broad power band and sweet daily driver.

When my truck was VP'd with a somewhat laggy Silver Bullet 66 charger I never made that TQ down that low. Here is an example of one of my dyno sheets when I was at 500hp, making 1021TQ but I didn't make peak TQ til almost 2500rpms.

Now with the P-pump and an even lazier and bigger charger, I can make 700+ HP but my TQ doesn't break the 1100 mark because I make peak TQ late at 3150rpms.

The key to making big HP with a VP is to make big TQ down low with fast spooling twins or a single with some added air, and then hold a good TQ curve as rpms come up.
