Default fummins swap problems!!

i need some help and some pointers on how to run my tanks on my 96 f250, it had a 351w in it with dual tanks and i wanna check this off my list so i dont have to deal with it any more. ima get an airdog 150 so its confusing me on how to run it. the tank selector used the vaccum pressure to switch the tanks, shoujld i ditch the dual tanks and use a large capacity tank (38 gallon) that sits in the rear??

I would just get a manual hand valve to switch tanks. Or get a tank selector from a diesel

I put a 33 gal poly Bronco tank in the rear (had to put in an angle iron crossmember for the back strap mounting point, but it fit prefectly) with a draw straw, connected straight to my AirDog with all 1/2" line. I then put a small electric transfer pump from the front tank to the rear and I just use the front as a transfer "reserve" tank.

The reason I did this for now is because I want to come up with a way to make the Diesel dual-tank valve all 1/2" for reduced restriction, then I'll plumb the tanks as they were with the switch in the stock diesel configuration. Food for thought...

Default valve

I found this valve it is a stacked valve so you can run 2 tanks it is 1/2 line so when you switch you switch both fuel and return a little pricey but is the right product

quote :
A stacked valve is available, it uses 1/2" NPT for the main fuel lines and 3/8" NPT for the return fuel lines. The price on this valve would be $192.29 + shipping. This isn't an item we keep in stock, but can have it in stock within a few days. You can call us with the order or we can make a listing on ebay for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Gas Tank, 33 Gallon Plastic 90-96
I used this one with my stock diesel sending unit (since I used a Draw Straw anyway) and just used a piece of stainless TIG rod to make a new fuel level float rod for the deeper tank
