"Ultimate" Combo
well for cost etc I myself am building my own ultimate combo... 95 cclb 4x4 f350 with a 12v and a 47rh with dhd. All costs considered and the slow shifting of the allison makes it less desirable plus I already had some parts for the rh. I went with obs to get away from CA smog laws.
It would be cool and all but then you get a ton of weight with batteries and then the electrical would be a nightmare if something got messed up
not necessarily running on capacitors but a demonstration of the power of electricity:
Not to toot my own horn but I really like my setup
It was my first truck, lots of memories in it, and its here to stay. Its not near finished, but we're on our way
But if I had a second choice... LBZ duramax, 1970 C10 Chevy.

that looks like a nice sleeper truck. is that a 2nd CP3 i see in there?
This truck is owned by Joe Komaromi, the owner of PPE, so its basically decked out with some of their best parts, namely the dual CP3's and a GT4094. I think it dyno'd at 640hp.

I'm almost done with the mechanical end of what I consider the Ultimate truck, but I'm probably a little biased,
.
It's an '85 S10 ECLB on 1 tons with air-ride and 38's with a Duramax/Allison backed up with a 241/241 doubler. Built for DDing, pulling trailers, riding like a town car and excellerating like a Vette while being efficient to drive.
Didn't have the D-max in it yet in this pic, but everything else is the same.

Oh and I'll paint it all one color some day...

i like your oil fill cap
Lol, I finally wore that one out. That's actually an old pic of the engine, I taped it up when I took the engine to the car wash before I put it in the truck.
Thanks 2004LB7.
